Peter Sveinung Leirvik (1920–2012) was a Norwegian farmer, local historian, and politician (Sp). Born in Namsos, he moved to Foldereid in 1926, where he later ran the family farm, Nedre Leirvik. He served as the mayor of Foldereid from 1960 to 1963. Leirvik and his brother Kåre contributed significantly to local historical documentation in Ytre Namdal, earning him an honorary membership in the Namdal Historical Society. In 1993, he was awarded the King's Medal of Merit in silver.
