Sven-Erik Gissbol, originally named Sven-Erik Karlsson, is a Swedish artist and singer born on March 5, 1945, in Halmstad. He started playing the trumpet at 12 and joined the band Leif Steens at 15. By 1967, he achieved his first top ten hit in Sweden. He became a prominent singer in the well-known Dansband Cool Candys, scoring a number one hit in 1969. After leaving Cool Candys in 1976, he formed his own orchestra and later sang with Curt Haagers until 2003. Gissbol has a total of 37 songs in the Svensktoppen charts.
