Svend Erik Michelsen, born Petersen, was a Danish chocolatier and founder of the confectionery company Sv. Michelsen in Østerbro, Copenhagen. Initially offering pastries and chocolate, he shifted focus solely on handmade chocolate due to its success. His commitment to quality, reflected in his slogan 'Kvalitet over alt,' led the company to become a supplier to the Royal Danish Court. In the 1970s, his daughter Rita and son-in-law Kjeld Dorff took over management, continuing the family legacy. Michelsen passed away on February 5, 1994.
