Svetoslav Peychev is a Bulgarian writer, humorist, satirist, and poet, born on October 24, 1952, in Ruse. He is also known by his literary pseudonym Simon Martin. Having worked as a professional sailor and diver, he traveled to around 100 countries. Peychev began publishing in 1980 and has had numerous works featured in various newspapers and magazines across Bulgaria and abroad. His writings often faced censorship challenges, and he experienced imprisonment in one of the 'death camps' during the Zhivkov regime. He has received multiple literary awards.
