Mahanidhi Swami, born Peter Brann on February 6, 1951, in Spring Lake Heights, New Jersey, is an Indian Krishnaist theologian and guru of American origin. He is a disciple of A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the founder of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). Since 1987, he has lived in India, particularly in the holy pilgrimage sites of Gaudiya Vaishnavism, Vrindavan, and Radha Kunda. Mahanidhi Swami became an Indian citizen in 1998 and is the author of over fifteen books, with his most popular work, "The Art of Chanting the Holy Name," translated into seven languages.
