Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury (May 8, 1935 - September 11, 2022) was a prominent Bangladeshi politician and a member of the Awami League. She served as the deputy leader of the National Parliament and was previously the Minister of Environment and Forests. Notable for her contributions to rural development and education, she received the UNESCO Fellowship in 1974 and was honored with the Silver Elephant award as National Commissioner of the Bangladesh Girl Guides Association. In 2000, she was named Woman of the Year by the American Biographical Institute, and in 2010, she received the Independence Award from the Bangladesh government.
