David Olof Benjamin Sylvester Schlegel, born March 22, 1976, in Kosta, Sweden, is a Swedish artist best known as the drummer for the rockband The Ark. He previously played in the band The Tambureens and later joined The Ark after The Tambureens disbanded. Schlegel also fronts another band, The Guild, which draws inspiration from 1960s music. In 2014, he competed in Melodifestivalen with the song "Bygdens son," finishing in eighth place. Additionally, he plays drums for the band Augustifamiljen.
