Sylvi Ellen Sääski (February 8, 1912 – May 10, 1990) was a teacher from Alavus and a prominent Finnish collector of folk traditions. She compiled a significant collection, with 8,283 items stored in the archives of the Finnish Literature Society. In addition to SKS, her collected materials are preserved in the National Museum, Kuopio Museum, and the Department of Folklore Studies at the University of Turku. Sääski undertook several collecting trips between 1937 and 1956, notably to Southern Savonia and East Karelia.
