T. K. Viswanathan, born on October 14, 1948, is a prominent Indian civil servant who serves as the Secretary General of the 15th Lok Sabha and the Lok Sabha Secretariat in India. As the administrative head of the Lok Sabha Secretariat, he holds a position equivalent to that of the Cabinet Secretary. Viswanathan was appointed to this role by the Speaker of the Lok Sabha after consultation with the Prime Minister and Leader of the Opposition. In 2017, he was honored with the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian award, for contributions to literature and education.
