T. Ramachandran (1944-2000), popularly known as T.R., was a prominent Malayalam fiction writer who contributed to high modernism in the language. He was born in Thrippunithura and educated at St. Albert's College and Sacred Heart College in Kochi. T.R. began writing in 1969, with notable works including 'Korunnyotathu Komutti' and 'Naam Naalayute Nanakkedu.' He also published a study on writing and painting. T.R. passed away unexpectedly in Kochi at the age of 56, and his complete works were published posthumously by D.C. Books.
