Tumkur Seetharamaiah Prahlad, born on May 21, 1940, is an esteemed Indian aerospace scientist and former director of the National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL) in Bengaluru. He specializes in aerodynamics and aerospace design, significantly contributing to the development of Indian civil aircraft, including the Hansa and NAL Saras, as well as light combat aircraft. His expertise has been pivotal in advancing India's aerospace capabilities. In 2004, he was honored with the Padma Shri by the Government of India and also received the H. K. Firodia Award in the same year.
