Tadao Kikukawa (born February 7, 1930) is a Japanese philosopher and researcher, recognized for his contributions to philosophical studies. He graduated from Tokyo University of Education in 1952 and later pursued a master's degree at the same institution. He studied in the United States at Ohio University and received the Controversial Newcomer Award in 1960 for his work on contemporary utilitarianism. Kikukawa held various academic positions, including professor at Kanagawa Institute of Technology, until his retirement in 2001, after which he was designated as an emeritus professor.
