Tadashi Ikeda is a Japanese diplomat born on March 18, 1939. He has held significant positions including Director of the Asian Bureau at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Secretary-General, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Netherlands and Brazil. Additionally, he served as the head of the Taipei Office of the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association, equivalent to an ambassador in Taiwan. Ikeda is also the chairman of the Kazuyama Foundation and a visiting professor at Ritsumeikan University. In 2014, he received the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays.
