Tadeusz Zdzisław Sklepiński was a Polish artillery captain and a victim of the Katyn massacre. Born on January 30, 1901, in Lviv, he served in the Polish Army since 1918, participating in the defense of Lviv and fighting in the 1920 war. Sklepiński rose through the ranks and was awarded the Silver Cross of the Virtuti Militari. He was captured by the Soviets in 1939 and was murdered in Kharkiv in the spring of 1940. He was posthumously promoted to major in 2007, commemorating his sacrifice.
