Kinjo is often regarded as a pioneer in the field of nursing and public health in Okinawa, earning titles such as the 'Mother of Public Health Nurses in Okinawa' and 'Pioneer of Public Health Nursing.' She was also a recipient of the Florence Nightingale Medal.
