Drs. H. Tafta Zaini, MM (January 9, 1953 – March 18, 2012) was the Regent of Demak who served two terms from 2006 to 2011 and from 2011 to 2016. He won the 2011 Demak regional election along with his vice-candidate Dachirin Said, securing 323,188 votes against three other pairs. During his second term, he passed away unexpectedly while attending an event in Batam.
