Tairoku Kose (June 26, 1917 - April 11, 2007) was a Japanese economist and a former professor at Tohoku University. He held a doctorate in commerce from Hitotsubashi University. Kose was known for being the model for the character Yoshinori Yanagisawa in Kazumi Yamashita's manga 'The Life of Professor Yanagisawa', where Yanagisawa's name is drawn from that of Kose's father, thus making Yanagisawa Kose's grandfather's name.
