Takaaki Akiba (born June 22, 1970) is a Japanese television writer and the head of the theater group The Evening Curry. He began his career at the age of 25 with a comedy troupe, later joining Titan as a scriptwriter. He made his debut in 1998 on the program 'Dai Bakushou Mondai.' Akiba is known for working on many shows by the popular duo Bakushō Mondai and has been referred to as a 'attached writer.' His penchant for making excuses led to the creation of a segment called 'Akiba's Excuses' on the show Bakushō Mondai Cowboy.
