He graduated from Musashino Art University and has focused on designing covers for numerous books mainly in philosophy, thought, and literature. His real name is Makoto Nagao. Since 1992, he has been a professor at Tokyo Zokei University and has worked extensively with publishers like Seidosha and the now-defunct Ozawa Shoten.
