Takao Kondō (born January 26, 1967) is a Japanese sports writer from Matsusaka, Mie Prefecture. He graduated from various schools including St. Paul Academy High School and studied German literature at Sophia University. After a year of traveling across Asia, he became the editor-in-chief of Gong Kakutōgi for Nihon Sports Publishing. Since 1991, he has been working as a freelance sports writer, covering events and serving as a commentator on sports TV and radio programs. He writes a monthly column, 'INSIDE格闘技' for SPORTS COMMUNICATIONS.
