Takayuki Saigusa, born on January 3, 1944, is a Japanese poet and literary critic. He is the editor of the poetry magazine 'Ritomu' and serves as the honorary president of the Japan Poetry Club. He is also the director of the Yamanashi Prefectural Literature Museum and a judge for the Imperial Poetry Reading. He was born in Kofu, Yamanashi Prefecture, as the fourth of five siblings in a family of poets, with his brother being notable poet Hiroki Saigusa. He has influenced other poets, such as Shinichiro Hagiwara.
