He worked as a teacher at Takatsuki High School before becoming a curator and director of the Osaka Castle Museum in 1962, a position he held until 2000. His research specialty is the Azuchi-Momoyama period. Additionally, he serves as a key person in the nationwide association aimed at promoting peace, democracy, and innovation in Japan.
