He has served as a member of the Japanese House of Councillors for two terms, representing the Japan Innovation Party. Additionally, he is the president of Fujimaki Japan Co., Ltd., and a board member of Toyo Gakuen University. His previous roles include branch manager and representative in Japan for Morgan Bank (now JPMorgan Chase), advisor to George Soros, and part-time lecturer at Hitotsubashi University and Waseda University. He holds an MBA.
