Takeshi Kōsai, born Mitsuru Hirata on August 8, 1947, is a Japanese singer and songwriter. He is known by his original stage name Hirata Mitsuru, and previously performed as Mitsuru Hara during his time with ensembles 'Elite Men' and 'Chanel Five.' He gained fame in 1976 as a one-hit wonder with the song 'Ain no Kariudo,' which introduced a pioneering form of Tohoku dialect rap. Additionally, he wrote and composed the 1968 hit '484 no Blues,' originally performed by Jun Kodachi.
