Takeshi Watanabe (April 18, 1913 – February 11, 2004) was a Japanese researcher specializing in Kampo medicine and camellias. Born in Kyoto, he graduated from Kyoto Pharmaceutical School in 1935 and Tokyo Imperial University in 1939. He worked for Takeda Pharmaceutical and contributed to several academic committees, including the Japanese Pharmacopoeia. Watanabe also conducted research for the Imperial Household and gained a PhD from Kyoto University in 1956. Later, he established a school for Eastern medicine and received multiple honors for his contributions to the field.
