Tamara Krasovitskaya is a Soviet and Russian historian born on July 17, 1946, in Luhansk, Ukrainian SSR, USSR. She specializes in the history of Russian culture, interethnic relations, and the history of education in the USSR. Krasovitskaya holds a doctorate in historical sciences and is the chief researcher at the Center for Domestic Culture Studies of the Institute of Russian History of the Russian Academy of Sciences. She served as a professor at the Department of Modern History at the Historical-Archival Institute of the Russian State University for the Humanities until 2018 and is the author of over 200 scientific works and about 50 methodological publications.
