Tapi Omas Ihromi (born Tapi Omas Simatupang) was an Indonesian anthropologist born on April 2, 1930, and passed away on August 5, 2018. He was the sixth of eight siblings and came from a modest family background. After teaching at various educational levels including kindergarten and junior high, he pursued his studies in law at the University of Indonesia, graduating in 1958.
