LaRosa competed mainly at bantamweight but naturally fits in the flyweight division, where she was ranked #1 from 2010 to 2012. Her career boasts victories over notable fighters including Amanda Buckner and Shayna Baszler. Throughout her decade-long career, she has trained at various gyms across different cities. She was inducted into the New Jersey Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2013.
