Tara Veer is a Canadian politician known for her tenure as the mayor of Red Deer, Alberta, elected in the 2013 municipal election at the age of 35, making her the youngest mayor in the city's history and the second woman to hold the position. Before her mayoral role, she was a member of the Red Deer City Council for nine years. Veer was re-elected in 2017 with a substantial majority but chose not to run again in the 2021 municipal election, subsequently being succeeded by Ken Johnston.
