Tarig Ahmed Abubakar (April 4, 1964 – January 26, 1998) was a Sudanese saxophonist and singer. He moved to Cairo in 1986 and collaborated with renowned ballad singer Ali Hassan Kuban for two years. In 1988, he relocated to Canada and founded the AfroNubians in 1992, which debuted in Toronto. He released his first album, 'Tour To Africa,' in 1994, followed by 'Great Africans' (1995) and 'Hobey Laik' (1997). Tragically, he returned to Sudan and died in a car accident while heading to Khartoum Airport.
