She was crowned Miss Finland in 1959 and held the title for a second consecutive year due to the lack of suitable candidates. Her career included modeling tours, appearances in Finnish films, and performances in summer theaters and operettas. She later participated in the Miss Europe competition. In 1966, she married radiologist Johan Berggård, with whom she had three children. After becoming a widow, she did not remarry but has been in a long-term relationship with Göran J. Ehrnrooth.
