Tasos Kaloutsas is a Greek philologist and author born on December 20, 1948, in Thessaloniki. He studied at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and worked initially in urban planning. After completing his military service in 1979, he became a teacher. He debuted in literature with the short story 'To kepelouri' in 1983 and has published six short story collections and various studies. His stories have been translated into five European languages, and he has received multiple literary awards, including the State Short Story Prize.
