Prince Edward Taw Phaya, also known as Tun Aung, was born on March 22, 1924, and passed away on January 12, 2019. As the Pretender to the Throne of Burma, he represented a royal lineage that was abolished in 1885. He was the second son of Princess Myat Phaya Galay, a daughter of King Thibaw and Queen Supayalat. After the death of his aunt Myat Phaya Lat in 1956, he became the Head of the Royal House of Konbaung.
