Martta Tellervo Strömmer was a Finnish textile artist and visual arts teacher, born on July 2, 1926, in Vanaja, Finland. She graduated from Hämeenlinna Girls' Lyceum in 1946 and completed her studies in visual arts teaching in 1949. Strömmer taught in several schools and became known for her designs in rugs and church textiles. Notably, she designed textiles for Temppeliaukio Church in the late 1970s. She served as vice-director and principal at Fredrika Wetterhoff Institute from 1960 to 1981. She passed away on June 18, 2017.
