Tenga Rinpoche was a prominent Tibetan lama in the Karma Kagyu tradition, born in Kham in 1932. He was recognized as a reincarnation of Lama Samten at age seven and studied at Benchen Monastery. He escaped to India after the 1959 Tibetan uprising and served the 16th Karmapa at Rumtek Monastery. Later, he founded Benchen Monasteries in Nepal and taught extensively in France. Known for his expertise in mandala painting and sculpture, he passed away on March 30, 2012. His reincarnation, Nyima Döndrup, was born in 2014.
