Terefe Yae is an Ethiopian marathon runner born on February 12, 1981. He made his marathon debut at the 2004 Berlin Marathon, where he was mistakenly placed in the amateur starting block and finished 26th with a time of 2:17:29 after overtaking more than 9000 runners. His personal best of 2:12:07 came in Berlin in 2005 while finishing 10th. He won the Rock 'n' Roll Arizona Marathon three times and placed well in multiple events, including second at the Las Vegas Marathon in 2009.
