Terhi Mertanen is a Finnish retired ice hockey defenceman born on April 4, 1981. She played for the Finnish national team for thirteen seasons, contributing significantly to the sport. Mertanen achieved notable success, winning bronze medals at the 2010 Winter Olympics and at the IIHF Women's World Championships in 2004 and 2011. Following her playing career, she transitioned into coaching and is currently the head coach of TPS Naiset in the Naisten Liiga, guiding the next generation of female ice hockey players.
