Terrence J. Sejnowski is a prominent neuroscientist and the Francis Crick Professor at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, leading the Computational Neurobiology Laboratory. He is also a professor at the University of California, San Diego. Sejnowski earned his Ph.D. in physics from Princeton University in 1978 and joined Johns Hopkins University in 1982. He co-developed the Boltzmann machine with Geoffrey Hinton and contributed to learning algorithms with NETtalk. Sejnowski has received multiple honors, including membership in the National Academy of Sciences and the Gruber Prize for Neuroscience.
