He is the current hitting coach for the Bristol Pirates and has an extensive coaching career, having served as head coach for Jacksonville University's baseball program from 1991 to 2013. Under his leadership, the team achieved a record of 713 wins to 590 losses over 22 seasons, making him the most successful coach in the school's history. He also held the position of assistant coach for the USA national team, winning notable international competitions.
