Tetsuya Tanaka, born on January 27, 1963, in Kobe, Hyogo, is a Japanese writer known for his unique humor and stream-of-consciousness style. He graduated from Kansai Gakuin University and debuted in 1993 with 'Duel in Okubo Town.' Tanaka received the Shōshin Nishin Short Short Contest Excellence Award in 1984 and won the 62nd Japan Children's Literature Association Award in 2022. He is part of the 'Manga Quartet' with fellow writers and a member of the Space Writers Club. Previously a member of the Japan SF Writers Club, his name was not listed in April 2023.
