He studied at the Montreal School of Fine Arts from 1957 to 1963 and gained prominence performing in his own bar in the late 1950s. Lecor achieved international success in 1970 with the song 'Le Frigidaire.' He hosted the program 'Sous mon toit' from 1970 to 1974 and produced multiple albums throughout the 1970s. Later, he transitioned to painting, exhibiting in various cities. Lecor passed away on September 9, 2017, in Terrebonne.
