Theo West, born Christoph Machert on February 1, 1968, in Witten, is a German entertainer and reporter. He studied journalism at the Technical University of Dortmund and began his TV career with a sketch funded by the Dortmund Cable Pilot Project. Known for his roles as 'Postman' and 'MahnMan' on RTL's consumer show from 1992 to 1999, he has worked as an external reporter for multiple TV productions including 'Veronas Welt' and 'Planet Comedy'. He received the UmweltMedienpreis in 2012 for a documentary about food labeling.
