Thérèse King (15 July 1934 – 16 April 2015) was a prominent Senegalese politician, serving as Minister of Public Health from 1988 to 1990 under President Abdou Diouf. Known for being a trailblazer for women in government, she was the second female Minister of Public Health in Senegal. Additionally, King chaired the Ziguinchor Regional Union of Socialist Women, advocating for women's issues in her region. In recognition of her contributions, she was honored with the Grand Cross of the National Order of the Lion in 2010.
