She made history in 1982 when she became the first woman to serve as the president of the synodal council of the Reformed Church in Alsace and Lorraine, an important ecclesiastical position in France. In addition to her church activities, she held significant roles in female scouting and catechesis, contributing greatly to these communities until her passing on August 9, 2006.
