Thomas Baxter OAM was an Australian engineer and rugby union player born on April 28, 1935, in Brisbane. He played as a utility back for the University of Queensland and represented Queensland. Baxter earned a Wallabies cap during the 1958 tour of New Zealand. Besides sports, he was a notable engineer, contributing to the Port of Brisbane strategic plan and serving on the Engineers Australia board. Awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in 2012, he was recognized for his service to engineering and the community. He passed away on August 4, 2019.
