Thomas Chandy was an Indian businessman and politician born on 29 October 1947. He served as a member of the Kerala Legislative Assembly representing the Kuttanad constituency and held the position of transport minister in Kerala. He also presided over the Nationalist Congress Party in Kerala. Amidst an allegation concerning his resort in Alappuzha, Chandy resigned from his ministerial post on 15 November 2017. His life came to an end on 20 December 2019 in Kochi due to cancer.
