Thomas Claw (1922–2009) was a Navajo Code Talker who served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He was born in Chinle, Arizona, and enlisted in 1943, training as a code talker at Camp Pendleton. Claw served with the 1st Marine Division across various Pacific locations. After the war, he moved to Parker, Arizona, working for approximately twenty years on the Colorado River Indian Irrigation Project. He passed away from cancer at the age of 87, and his contributions were honored by the Navajo Nation.
