He has been a lecturer and assistant professor at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. Lukan's work focuses on microtonality and harmonics, and he is known for his unique musical theory, 'Fraktale Tonalität.' Alongside his numerous compositions, he has received several awards and is married to singer and educator Danja Lukan, with whom he has a daughter.
