He previously worked for the Swedish Police Authority and as a regional manager for the Swedish Association of Road Transport Companies. Morell was a member of the Moderate Party before joining the Sweden Democrats in 2017. He was elected to parliament in 2018 and focuses on transport and industry issues, as well as combating illegal commercial traffic such as drug and weapon smuggling.
