Thomas Niggl, born Georg Niggl on April 28, 1922, in Murnau, was a German Benedictine monk known for his role as the abbot of the Weltenburg Abbey located along the Danube River. He dedicated his life to monastic service and contributed significantly to the spiritual and community life of the abbey until his passing on December 10, 2011, in Ettal. His leadership and commitment to Benedictine values marked his tenure as abbot.
